Gülden Boyner Ulusoy, MSc
Thank you for being here!
I am an English-speaking therapist based in Luzern, Switzerland. My on-going passion to solve the mystery of the human mind and learn the human psychology drove me to do MSc degree in Applied Psychology, University of Liverpool (Mental Health Module). My education helped me to gain deep theoretical knowledge in the field and to apply evidence based psychological interventions in everyday practice.
I have had a chance of supporting various adult clients to treat their mental issues such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attack and encouraging them to come over some physical illnesses like obesity, psychosomatic disorders through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Hypnotherapy.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, non-authoritative approach that allows clients to take more of a lead in discussions so that, in the process, they will discover their own solutions. As a therapist, I act as a compassionate facilitator, listening without judgment acknowledging the client’s experience.
I help therapeutic process without interrupting but supplying individuals’ tools, motivation to create new mental, emotional and physical habits. In my practice, I follow holistic/integrative approach that involves integrating various elements of different theories to the practice. Besides traditional talking therapies, I may include non-traditional therapies such as hypnotherapy, guided imagery and meditation. I am using the techniques and best psychotherapy tools best suited for a particular client and problem.
